About Us
The Gwinnett Remembrance Project acknowledges, remembers, and educates the community about the county’s violent and racist past. The Project honors the memory of Gwinnett’s victims of racial violence – those whose names are known to us and those whose names are lost to history – by working with the Equal Justice Initiative to erect a fitting memorial that inspires the community to come together, fosters conversations about historical and current injustices, and enables dialogue, trust, and healing.
